Born April 15, 1829 in Conn.  Died April 14, 1908 and is buried in Swedish Cemetery.  He was a Pvt. in the 27th Conn. Vols., served from 22/10/1862 to 25/7/1863.  He fought at Chancellerville, and Fredricksburg, Va.  Was a prisoner at Libby Prison.  He was the first mayor of Mountain Grove.

Humphrey Moody Williams
Born September 15, 1816 in N.C.  Died August 9, 1902.  Buried Curtis Cemetery.  He joined Co. D, 5th Reg. Tenn. Inf. Feb. 1862.  He was discharged March 16, 1863 due to disability.  According to his military record, he then joined Co. E, 10th Reg. Ind. Cav. because home was in Rebel country and he felt safer in the army.
