Attala County Civil War Veterans
This photograph depicts a group of Attala County Civil War Veterans that had gathered for a reunion. The date of the photograph is unknown, but based on the ages of the gentlemen, it is thought to be early 1900's.
Only a very few of the gentlemen in the photograph have been identified. In the front row (seated) 2nd from left is Elias F. Phillips. 3rd row (standing) 2nd person is John Whitfield Ratliff. 8th person is William Henry Turner. Others in the group include; James William White and Abb Leopard.
The last living Attala County Civil War Veteran was Doch McConluho who died in the 1930's.
