John BARNES married Callie Lee McCORMICK , children, William Luster, Henry, Oscar. My family lived in Sarepta, Bruce, Potlocken, Tocapolla,and Water Valley from around 1800 on. Many reportedly buried in Sarepta Cemetary. I also need any info on the Superintendent of the Sarepta Cemetery. Any suggestions for locating info on this would be helpful. Calhoun Co. 6/21/1886 married Clifton KIRBY in 1904, and 4. Hughie Lloyd BLAYLOCK b. may 26, 1890 d. Aug 10,1905. John Henry BLAYLOCK's first wife is named Sarah Elizabeth FOSHEE . I have no other info on Foshee family. Brief history of John Henry: John was born Mar 8, 1842 in Springfield MO. He moved to Calhoun Co. MS as a young man with the "James Boys". (I have been told that he did run with Jesse James.) He served in the Civil War (24th Miss Regt Co. L) wounded in Vicksburg MS. He had one brother named Monroe who died quite young. John married Sue HANCOCK after Elizabeth died. If you have any information regarding the BLAYLOCKs , or have heard of any stories please let me know. I am very interested in obtaining information on the Civil War regiment.

I am interested in exchanging info with anyone about James C. CASTLEBERRY . He was born in GA in 1818 and died in Yalobusha Co in 1885. He lived in Calhoun Co MS in 1860 and 1870. He moved to Yalobusha Co in the early 1870s. His first wife was Martha. She died after 1863. He remarried ca 1869 to Sarah MARSHALL , a widower. His daughters were Sarena, by his first wife, and Jessica, by his second wife. He also had a stepdaughter, Virginia, and a stepson, Tom. He lived 3 miles west of Water Valley on Coldwater Road (Hwy 32). I am interested in knowing where he is buried and what relationship, if any, he is to my CASTLEBERRY ancestors from Tishomingo County, MS.

Gabriel and children are on 1850 Lafayette Co MS. census. Charolette died May 1850, Lafayette Co MS. I need any info on this family/ancestors. They had a son named Jackson CLEMENTS who married Lucinda HIGGS in Lafayette Co MS. Another son, George Robert CLEMENTS, was the father of Elmer H. CLEMENTS who was the father of Lee CLEMENTS.Gabriel had 3 other children they are l. Jacob 2. Louamie married Jasper SIMMONS, 3. Elizabeth married KELLUMS. Any info on these families appreciated. In 1841 MS census appears to have up to 7 children. Believed to be the father of James H. GRACE (ca 1829 - ca 1891). Also found living in David's household in MS: Catherine GRACE (b. ca 1812), John YOUNGBLOOD (b. ca 1842), Nancy GRACE (b. ca 1851). Interested in any info on this family or descendants.

He was married to Frances Elizabeth RYAN, daughter of Dr. James Gillam RYAN, in 1867, probably in Calhoun Co. She was born 1846 in MS and died in Water Valley, MS, date unknown. I have a lot of information on the HAIRE family to share and would like to hear from anyone researching this family.

James died 1858/59 & Augustus got the farm. He moved from Calhoun to Lafayette after Civil War, m Martha DEATON , then m Ruth Alice WILSON of SC, dau of Jesse WILSON whose wife Jane HOOKER died during Civil War. He then married Martha SCOTT . Augustus moved to Yalobusha in 1873, then moved to AR in 1881. Any info about these people appreciated!
