New Providence Church Minutes:

October 13 1888

 

Brother Robert White from Pleasant Hill Church came with Brother Allen at this our time of regular meeting. Brother White first made a talk on the subject of prayer followed by our pastor (Brother Allen) both made very good talks to the few hearers.

 

 

New Providence Baptist Church 100 Years Old

On Oct 22 1842, New Providence Baptist Church was organized under the name of Providence which name was changed to New Providence in 1920.  Following is a list of the charter members:

The present building, which was erected in 1924, is the third building to be erected by the church, and is a very comfortable house of worship.
