I'm looking for information on any
HARDIN
family in the Choctaw, Chickasaw Co. area in the early 1860's.
My
great grandmother was born in Eupora, Ms. on Feb. 13, 1860. Her
parents were both born in Alabama according to later census
records. In a letter by a cousin her parents are suppose to be a
Jonathan HARDIN and Maranda
or Malinda HARDIN. A sister
Ann and a
sister Lizzie were mentioned. Any clues or leads greatly
appreciated. Frances Missouri HARDIN,
married Willis N. WOFFORD
in Choctaw or Chickasaw Co.in about 1877. My grandmother Ella A.
WOFFORD was born in Attala Co.
in 1878.

G.B. was born about 1819 in Kentucky. He is listed in the Choctaw
Co. in 1850 & 1860 census. G.B. married a Emily Allen MAHON
or GILLMORE, I'm not
certain of her last name. Their children
were John W.(b.1847), William Beauregard (b.1862), Lewis Franklin
(b.1855), Almira Elizabeth (b.1849), Ellen E. (b.1852), Emma
Caroline (b.1859), George Roy (b.1854), Martha (b.1866), James
(b.1850), and Jasper Joel (b.1871). There was also a L.W. HARVEY
that is related, I believe. The family moved to Desoto County
between 1860-70 then to Texas aft 1870. Attempting to find Emily
Allen's last name and willing to share info with others
