LAND, KILLOUGH, BRANDON

I am looking for info on William LAND who married Henrietta KILLOUGH . I have no info on William's parents. He may have some connection to a family named BRANDON. I don't know if this was his mother who had remarried on if he was orphaned at this time. He is living with them in 1860 and 1870. He later moved his family to Lawrence Co. Ark. Searching for any info on Mary Frances LANDRUM.  Obit says "b. 1840 in Choctaw Co, m. James H. CRAWFORD, son of Davis Terry CRAWFORD and Mary BARRON. The 1850 census lists D. T. and Mary CRAWFORD living in Choctaw CO. Both d. 1852, bur. CRAWFORD family cemetery,  (now called Blackwood Cemetery), Winston Co.  Need name of father and mother, (mother supposed to have been an ADAMS). Obit also states that she was a Methodist. James H. and Mary Frances LANDRUM CRAWFORD were parents of William Weston "Buster" CRAWFORD, Mary F."Mollie" COLLIER, Emma GRIFFITH, Elizabeth Jewell "Betty" COOK, Lula MORGAN, and James Templeton CRAWFORD. Buster, Betty and Lula went to TX, but Mollie, Emma and James T. stayed in MS. Appreciate any help to further our lineage of the LANDRUM and ADAMS families.

We are searching for information about a prominent citizen of Ackerman in the late 1920's and early 1930's. His name was Homer Clifford LEE. He married Mildred MONROE. He was an attorney and state representative for Choctaw County. His date of death is believed to be January 1, 1931 in Choctaw County. Please provide his cause of death, the cemetary where he's buried and any county history which might pertain to him.

Am seeking information on the parents of Rebecca Jane LEWIS, born in Dec, 1843 in Choctaw Co, MS. She died in Chickasaw Co, Ms. She was married to James Henry KIMBROUGH, born Sept 26, 1841 in Lawrence Co, AL; died May 20, 1931 in Chickasaw Co, MS. Parents of Recca Jane LEWIS were Jonathan P. LEWIS & Sarah Penelope HOLLAND . Would appreciate any information about Rebecca Jane, her siblings, or her parents.

Looking for Thomas LINDSEY, b. abt 1793 in Wilkes Co, GA married to Bathsheba SIDWORTH/Barsheba SIDWELL b. abt 1793 in GA. They were in Tuscaloosa Co., AL in by 1829 and in Choctaw County by 1834 as seen below: From A History of Choctaw Co., Miss. 1830-1973. by J.P. Coleman of Ackerman, Miss. pub. 1973 page 33,, Choctaw County Chronicles The following men, chosen in 1834, had the distinction of serving as the first public officials of Choctaw County: Probate Clerk: Thomas LINDSEY. Moved between 1844 and 1847 from Choctaw Co., MS to Fannin Co., TX then to Cherokee Co., TX.  Another connecting name is HALSOMBECK who married their daughter,  Nancy LINDSEY. Their son James Suddeth LINDSEY, M.D. and his wife Maria FILES had  several of their children there: Elizabeth, Sarah, David, Viola, James Oliver, William H. and Celia LINDSEY. Will share information and appreciate all help.

Looking for my ancestor, Thomas J. LONG, b. 1805 in Lexington Co. SC  In 1860, the family was on the Chickasaw Co. MS census as: Thomas J. LONG, b. 1805, Lexington Co, SC; Martha, b. 1809 (My grandmother told me her name was Rachelle); David A., b, 1832, Lexington Co. SC; John, b. 1834, Lexington Co, SC; Martha O., b. 1838 Lexington Co, SC; Rebecca, b. 1842, Lexington Co, SC;  Elizabeth, b. 1844, Lexington Co, SC; Rufus T., b. 1848, Lexington Co, SC; William Archibald, b. Sept 4, 1849, Lexington Co, SC. William Archibald (my line) m. (1) Francis C. BRADBERRY Dec 1876 , (2)  Rebecca Penelopy INGRAM, Dec 7, 1881, Chickasaw Co. Her parents were Samuel A. INGRAM,  d, Aug 31, 1885, according to Susanna's headstone in TX,  he is b. in Buena Vista Cem. and Susanna A. CRAWFORD INGRAM.  Rebecca's sisters m.CULPEPPER and LITTLE. Any info that you could give me would be appreciated. Thank you.

LOWERY, GEIGER

Looking for info on James F. LOWERY, b. 1819 AL; and his wife, Eliza ?, b. 1821. They moved from DeKalb Co, AL to Choctaw Co about 1842. Their children were:  Emeline, b. 1837; Henry, b. 1839; James Marshall, b. 1840; William B., b. 1844; Peter "Doc", b. 1849; Robert Francis, b. 1852 and Eveline, b. 1853.  Eveline, my ggrandmother, m. Equilla GEIGER. James F. LOWERY signed a deed in Choctaw Co in 1859; but a few months later his wife, Eliza, was listed as head of household.  It appears that his 2 youngest children went to live with Shim and Henrietta LOWERY in Covington Co. during the Civil War.  Does anyone know Eliza's maiden name or what happened to her and James F.?
