Need information on The QUARLES/QUALLS family that resided in Attala Co, Choctaw Co & Winston Co. They came from Georgia & South Carolina, were Cherokee. My ancestor was Mary Margaret QUARLES, b 10-10-1820, GA (Hall), married Henry SHUMAKER, had Amanda J SHUMAKER. Mary 'Margaret' QUARLES' parents were David (b1797 SC) & Dica Ann. Who were siblings? Pernall QUARLES came with her to Mississippi. He was her uncle. He resided in Attala Co before moving to Louisanna. Mary Margaret married Willie GORDAN, had Cammie, then married William A. SMITH. He was b 1840 SC. Need parents & siblings. Mother was L SMITH b 1819 SC, siblings were M. E. (Female), b 1842 SC; E (male), b 1844 GA; N (female). b 1846. MS and G.S. (male). b 1852 MS (all SMITHs found in Winston Co. in 1860). John A. M. SMITH may have been father. Father probably died ca 1855 MS. William & Amanda had John A, James H, Virgie, Frances 'Fannie', Sara, & Robert. Fannie was my great great grandmother, married Jessie Clayton BALLARD. Had many BALLARD descendents in Attala County.Thank you.

Searching for info on Martin QUINN, b. 1826, presumably in Choctaw Co, d. Jun 15, 1892; m. Sarah POWERS. Martin QUINN was the son of John QUINN who d. in Ackerman, Choctow Co. in 1877 and Ester MARTIN QUINN. Martin had a son, Edwin, whose birthdate and other info I would be very interested in finding. I believe that Martin and Edwin QUINN are ancestors of my husband. Thanks for any help you could provide.
