 Letter - Henry Lemuel Burkitt to Mary Burkitt Richardson

Letter dated November 4, 1866. It was written by Henry Lemuel Burkitt to his sister Mary Burkitt Richardson in Lampass County Texas. The Louisa mentioned in the letter is Louisa Howell Burkitt, Henry's wife and James is their son. John is the brother of Henry. Caroline is another sister. The Bennie referred to is Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Burkitt, the son of Henry. Frank later ran for governor of Mississippi on the Progressive party. His home is still in existance in Okolona, MS.
