American History           

This committee was created to stimulate a deeper understanding of American History. Each year the committee sponsors a contest for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Each year the chapter honors American History Essay winners from the local middle school.

 

Children of the American Revolution

C.A.R., the nation's oldest, largest, patriotic youth organization, offers membership to anyone under the age of 21, lineally descended from someone who served in the Continental Army or gave material aid to the cause of freedom in the American Revolution.

 

Chief Tishomingo DAR sponsors the Chief Tishomingo C.A.R. Society. For more information about C.A.R. click here.

DAR Good Citizens                         

Stressing the importance of the qualities of good citizenship is the purpose of this committee.

Each year the chapter honors DAR Good Citizens in each of the two county high schools.
