The South Mississippi Genealogical and Historical Society will hold it's 2007 Seminar Saturday, June 23, 2007, 9am-3pm. It will be at the Peck House Annex, 3601 Pearl Street, Hattiesburg, MS. (one block behind Kentucky Fried Chicken on Hardy St.) We have two outstanding Mississippi Historians for speakers. Grady Howell will talk about Mississippi in the Civil War and about researching records of the Mexican War. Charles Sullivan will present the History of Beauvoir, Gulf Coast research post Katrina, and a bit about the old Methodist Camp Ground meetings. We will conclude with a question and answer period with both guests. Pre registration is $25.00 (until June 10,2007). It will be $30.00 at the door. A box lunch can be preordered ($10.00) or there are many eating places of all types within a few blocks of the site. mail to:
