The Railroad Section Foreman's House (built ca. 1875), located at Valley Park, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was bought and completely restored to its original condition by C.B.(Buddie) Newman. He, and his siblings were raised and some born in the house. They moved into the house in 1917.
