John Rainer Jones - 1812-1864 son of Thomas Jones and Hannah Rainer of Marengo County, AL & Whynot, Lauderdale County, MS.

Wife - Jane Roberts 1819-1897 daughter of Axum Roberts and Mary Chatham of Greene Country, MS.

Charles F. Jones 1845-1904 never married. Civil War vet

Hannah Elisabeth Jones 1847-1919 married William Monroe Cowart

Thomas Gilbert Jones 1852-1932 married Sarah Allen

Lucinda E. Jones 1855-1922 married William Bragg

Mary Elena Jones 1857-1926 married Jefferson Denny Clark

Jefferson Davis Jones 1862-1928 never married

Note: All above buried at Orange Grove Cemetery, East Jackson County, MS.

Note: John R. Jones was a Justice of the peace and a Civil War Vet. He moved from Whynot, Lauderdale County, MS to Jackson County, MS about 1855.
