He also had Land in Lauderdale Co. His son is Hugh Godfrey. Hugh Godfrey moved to Arkansas and had Bilo Bilo and Bilo had Leonard Dove. John Dove had land in Smith County. I am looking for the record that gives the name of my ggg grandfather. Christian came from North Carolina. Godfrey was born in 1815 in North Carolina. I have not been able to find the records there. GGG grandfather Dove could have been, John, Hugh, Archibald or Duncan. Any information would be appreciated.

He had a sister, Beatrice Willis, B. 5/26/1920 Meridian. Josephine Mitchell was the mother of Julia, Mary Lee ( B. 1895) and Ruth (don't know b. date). Their father was a John LIPPENCOTT. They all later moved to Missouri. I don't know where John LIPPENCOTT is really from, on the death certicicate for Julia it states he is from Penn, this may or may not be true. Josephine's death cert state her parents as AZELENE McCLOUD from ALA, and her Fr as ED MITCHELL FROM MS. Both Azelene and Ed were probably born around 1850, maybe on a "PLANTATION".
