Published February 16, 2005 Sgt. Robert Allen McNail ![]() Mississippi Army National Guard Services for Sgt. Robert Allen McNail will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Glen Edmondson and James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Sgt. McNail, 30, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, while on active duty in Iraq. He was assigned to the Mississippi Army National Guard's Company B, 150th Combat Engineer Battalion headquartered in Quitman. He was a member of First Church of God. He was employed as a building manager at Naval Air Station Meridian before being called to active duty. Survivors include his son, Edward Allen McNail of Quitman; parents, Marvin and Linda McNail of Meridian; a brother, Brian McNail and his wife, Debra, of Fort Meade, Md.; his fianc/Á Denise Potts and her children, Daniel and Sheridan of Meridian; his grandfathers, Walter Farris Wright and his wife, Claudie, of Yazoo City and Edward McNail and his wife, Elsie, of Salem, Mo.; nieces and nephews, David McNail, Calyn McNail and Carmel McNail, all of Fort Meade, Md.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Melba Wright and Dora McNail. Honorary pallbearers will be the 21 members of his platoon and Sgt. Howse stationed in Iraq. Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home. ![]()
