Dr. G. H. Hill's Crops Submitted by Nancy S. Bell
Source: Tupelo Journal, April 14, 1905 Dr. G. H. Hill has departed from the all cotton crop and has planted the present season between four and five acres in onions. The plot of ground is the alluvial soil on the edge of Town Creek bottom and from present indication the crop will be a fine one. Everything is quite promising and if the crop is well marketed it will prove a money maker. Corn or late Irish potatoes can be grown on the same land after the onions are taken off.
