DENNIS / TUCKER / WILLIAMS

DATE: 7 April 1998
NAME: Jacqueline Polk

I am looking for information on my great-grandmother (Ozenia) or Ozzinia WILLIAMS or her parents. She was born in Leflore Co. (Sidon) MS. This is the info. I received from my grandmother Birdie Mae Dennis:

Ozzie was b. Sept. 3, 1905 and married David DENNIS, also from Leflore Co. He was b. April 1896 or 1897. They are both of African-American heritage.

Ozzie's parents were James (Jim) DENNIS and Ann TUCKER (we have no info. about Ann). Any information would be greatly appreciated. I seem to be the only one taking notes and I'm trying to establish a family tree to pass to my children. Thanks. jbp

McNUTT

DATE: 7 April 1998
NAME: Percy

Looking for any information on the McNUTT family. The family that I'm researching are mostly African-American and Indian. However, the Great Grandfather, Isaac McNUTT, may have been son of a white McNUTT.

The family is associated with Morgan City, they owned a farm there in the late 1900s and early 1920s. The farm was supposedly abandoned after all of the family and stock died from either poison or disease.

The family members are known to have lived in Winona also. Also interested in any info on the town of McNUTT. Who started it? What happened to it?

Thanks in advance!
