I am seeking information on Elizabeth Richardson who married Abraham Baker Jr in Monroe Co, Miss on Dec. 14, 1874. She was born Dec 6, 1855 in Alabama, died Oct 4, 1942 in Cooper, Tx and is buried at Willowhole Cemetery along with Abraham in North Zulch, Madison Co., Tx. They are my gggrandparents. Mollie E. b. June 1866 in Alabama M/ 13yr.

Hattie L. b. Feb. 1888 in Ms.
Hardis L. (or Harris?) b. July 1894 in Ms
Candie D. b. Jan 1897 in Ms. (he died in Memphis in 1920)
In the 1910 census of Monroe Co. Hatley
There is children born since 1900
Dessie M. b. abt 1901 she is age 9
Lizzie M. b. abt 1908 she is age 2
In the 1920 census they are living in memphis, Tn. there is a daughter Hattie (looks like ) BENNETT. William MCDONALD who is listed her as Mollie's father is age 75. This is my g-grandfather. He is buried beside his 2nd wife Matilda DEES in the Hatley cemetery. After the 1920 census I can't find any of this family except for Monroe NELSON who was crippled and worked at odd jobs. I would appreciate any help with this family if you recognize any of them.

Thomas Rogers b SC 1802 first wife: Elizabeth born in NC about 1817 died 1860/1861? Lived in Alabama until about 1846 then Monroe County, Mississippi Their children:
Frances M, Richard, Mary, Nancy, Sarah, Martha, Lidia, John, Robert Thomas married Sarah Holbert in 1861 and I know they had at least one child, General Lee Rogers (my gg born in 1864) who married Julia Cantrell. Thomas is buried with Sarah, so I do not know where his first wife was buried. General Lee & Julia Rogers had 3 daughters - Shirley, Crim, & Peggy (Lay, my gm).
In the 1870 census, they are showing other children living with them: Catherine (maybe a DIL?), Idellas, Reuben (possibly Robert?). In 1880, they have a granddaughter Susan who was born in Texas living with them.
I know several of the first set of children moved to Texas, but do not know who Susan's parents were. I also do not know if General Lee had any whole siblings from his mother Sarah.
I would love any information on any of the Rogers or if anyone knows anything about Sarah's family.

I need to directions to Center (maybe spelled Senter) Cemetery in Greenwood Springs (Quincy). I know that Elizabeth & John Lay are buried there, but I remember about a dozen or more other tombstones being there and want to research when I am able to visit. My father took me there about 23 years ago and it was extremely overgrown, and I remember it being on a side road in the woods - near or on the James Taylor property (formerly I think this was owned by the Bookers or Grays, and originally the Wises - all my relatives). A side road off Route 8 (not that far from 278) on the same side of the road that my grandparents (Kirby & Mildred Carter) used to live? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Recently, I found a Posting Titled The Johnson Family Tree by Marcus Johnson on Ancestry.com. In the posting he listed William James Miller and Daisy Mangrum. The posting incicated that William James Miller was born between 1819 and 1849. and died between 1905 and 1937. He was married Daisy Mangrum. They had a daughter, Sarah C. Miller who married James Albert Weycaster 6 Jzanuary 1884.
My Great Grand Father was Wiliam James Miller, born about 1827 I believe in Monroe County, MS. He Married Margaret McGowan on 28 October 1847 also born in Monroe County, Ms.
I have tried to contact Marcus Johnson, via his listed Email Address on the ancestry.com posting, but received Email saying that No Such Email address and/or Person now exists. If any one knows Marcus Johnson or has data concerning any of the above names, I would appreicate hearing from them.
William James Miller, my great grand father, is my Brick wall and I have been researching him for about the last 30 years.

I am trying to find information regarding Ezekiel Merritt who is listed on page 90 of the 1850 Monroe Co MS Census. Ezekiel is listed as being 25 and born in AL. His wife, Almeda is 20 and born in AL. Children Ophelia age 3 born in MS and son William age 2 and born in MS. Ophelia was my great-grandmother. Have found some information that Almeda's maiden name was Hood and her parents were William and Cecelia (Quinn) Hood. Would like to confirm if this information is correct. Would like to know what happened to Ezekiel and Almeda Merritt. Ophelia married J.W. Henson in Monroe Co., MS on Dec. 14, 1865 and later moved to Texas. I am trying to find information regarding my great-grandparents John Wesley Henson and Ophelia Angeline Merritt who were married in Monroe Co, MS Dec 14, 1865. Ophelia's parents were Ezekiel & Almeda Merritt. I have found from one posting that Almeda's parents were William & Cecelia (Quinn) Hood, but I am not sure that this information is correct. Does anyone have any information regarding this family? I found Ezekiel, Almeda, & children on the 1850 Monroe Co Census; and Ezekiel & children on the 1860 census and then nothing else. I do not know anything regarding Ezekiel except that he was born abt 1825 in Alabama. Ezekiel and Almeda's children were Ophelia Angeline, William born abt 1848, and R.A. (a daughter) born abt 1852. I am a researcher from England and am trying to find the burial places of James Henry Dillingham (c. 1790 - 1861) and his son Henry McKinley Dillingham (c. 1823 - ????) and Henry's wife, Maria (Tucker) Dillingham, a daughter of Judge Waitsell Avery Tucker and a neice of Governor Tilgham Mayfield Tucker.
Henry Mckinley Dillingham's son, Monroe Goodbar Dillingham in buried in Greenwood Cemetery, West Point, but Henry himself does not appear to be there. Could he buried with the Tucker family?
The Dillingham family consistently appear as residents of Monroe Co. MS in the US census records. I am also trying to find the home places of both James and Henry Dillingham as I may need to establish whether there are family burial plots at either of these locations.
I know this is likely to be a difficult request. I understand that James Henry Dillingham's will was filed for probate, 11 November 1861 and this may contain some clues.
I have also seen that Henry McKinley Dillingham was associated with Bartahatchie? Mory significantly, I am trying to establish whether he was the H. Dillingham described as 'still at large' in the following :- On list of nineteen rebel men wanted by the Federal Provost-Marshall- General, St. Louis, Mo., for destroying government property and steamboats involving loss of lives, in Aug. and Sept. 1863. Residence unknown. The group was enlisted by the C.S.A. Secretary of War Seddon, and approved for carrying out sabotage by President Jefferson Davis. Judge Tucker of Mobile, Ala., formerly of Mo., a newspaper editor, was in charge of the scheme, with former U.S. Congressman John R. Barret of St. Louis, second in command. Ten of the wanted men were apprehended. At the time of the report to the office of the Secretary of War in Washington, Henry Dillingham was still at large, ",.. inside our lines." If so, it is quite possible that Henry's grave has not been established as being that of a CSA Vet. The surviving members of the family that I am in contact with have no knowledge of his Civil War exploits. Would he have actually served in a Company or Unit considering the nature of his actions?
