Google through that brick wall.

Google every detail that you find (go to http://www.google.com/):

Source for fact to Google:

"Virginia Valley Records" by John Walter Wayland on page 112 lists a militia voucher in 1788 for Captain Ragan's Company No. 13, Wm Woodford, clear levy, son William, 1 horse, Rockingham County.

I'm searching for date and place of birth on both William Woodfords and of course the names of the spouse and parents.

Jeremiah Reagan married Abigail Harrison 1 Oct. 1764.

1772 - A Richard Reagen was appointed 2nd Lt of the county militia. He was sworn in as such on March 27, 1780.   A widow of a Richard Ragan filed for pension and is noted in the U.S. House of Representative Private Claims, Vol. 3. but no dates on this.   A Richard Ragan was noted as a Captain in the book: Historical reg. Of Virginians in the Rev., soldiers, sailors and marines, 1775-1783. Ed. By John H. Gwathmey. Richmond, Va. 1938. (13, 872p.):654.

Although this research did not produce a real breakthrough, it suggests that further research for Captain Ragan/Reagen, etc. and a roster of his company may lead to more details about relatives and in-laws of the Woodford family. Since the previous Woodford generation has not been identified, there may have been a name change about this time. Therefore, similar names such as Woolford, Woodfaulk, etc. need to be considered.
