The membership chairman and the membership committee are tasked with various projects relating to society membership.
Support activities for current members through the mentor program and other projects are ongoing.
Follow up of former members is an essential element of maintaining membership. Lists of former members need to be reviewed and those individuals need to be contacted.
Conducting seminars and other activities outside of normal meetings are an excellent way to increase local membership through increased exposure to the public.
Out reach efforts such as our “geeks on wheels” project are aimed at providing computer support to our electronically challenged members. For details on these efforts, see the Computer Workshop Project.
Expanding coverage and links from and to the society web site is another way to increase membership.
If you would like to participate in these activities or have other suggestions for expanding membership, please contact the society.
