Funeral services will be held at East Jerusalem Baptist Church on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. for Cheryl Stewart, 53, of Picayune. Interment will be in Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Cheryl Elaine McGill was born October 9, 1956 in Picayune to Deacon Eugene McGill and the late Lillie Rhone McGill. She attended George Washington Carver High and Picayune Memorial High Schools.
On Wednesday morning, March 3, 2010, God call another angel home. For my days of pain and suffering are now over.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Lillie McGill; one sister, Diane McGill; one brother, Leonard McGill; two nephews, Ricardo Cortez Rawls and Timothy Scott Glasper; and one uncle, Hayward Rhone.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Ike Stewart; her father, Deacon Eugene McGill; five children, Roderick (Elizabeth) McGill of El Paso, Texas, Felisha (Lucious) Ratliff, Teresa Stewart, Christopher Stewart, and Carlos (Tina) Stewart, all of Picayune; two brothers, Charles (Barbara) McGill and Albert (Mary Alice) McGill of Picayune; nine sisters, Ruby Jean Walker, Betty (Joe) Mark, Linda McGill, Mary (Thomas) Blanks, Rose (Sylvester) Gray, Cynthia (Wayne) Bester and Belinda McGill all of Picayune, Daisy (Matthew) Evans of Houston, Texas and Kathleen Rawls of Gulfport, Miss.; ten grandchildren; two special friends, Elnora Jenkins and Cynthia Harper; a special aunt, Merit Ann Rhone; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
