Harmer William Spiers, Sr., 68, of Poplarville, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 in L.S.U. - Bogalusa Medical Center.
A native of Pearl River County, he was a member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church in Pass Christian, Miss., and a Retired Road Construction Foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert W. and Effie Myrtle Coleman-Spiers.
A loving father and grandfather, survivors include: the love of his life for 49 years, Virginia Werth Spiers of Poplarville; two sons, Harmer W. Spiers, Jr. and his wife Sheryl of Kiln, Miss. and Harry W. Spiers and his wife Andi of Poplarville; three sisters, Sylvia Barnes and her husband James W. of Poplarville, Lena Walker of Wiggins, Miss. and Obelia Lewis and her husband Willard of McNeill, Miss.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Howell, Felicia Spiers, Laurie Ann Spiers, Candi Spiers and Hannah Spiers; and two great-grandchildren, Dodge Thomas Turner and Virginia Marie Ann Turner.
Private services will be held at a later date.
