Sandridge Cemetery

South of Highway 442, 4 miles west of Doddsville.

It is back in the field off of road 442. It is grown over with Johnson grass. That's the way it looked the last time I saw it. It used to be kept clean.  After the death of a volunteer caretaker, it grew over with the grass. Some graves have been plowed over and tomb stones missing. Serena Powell is buried there and her grave is missing.  A Woodman tombstone is the only one above grass. I have been to that cemetery many times and recorded all the stones . . . -- Ruth Halajian
