Submissions:  The Officers and Editorial Board strongly encourage submissions to Mississippi River Routes.  Please consider preparing an original, well-documented family or local history article.  In addition, our members are always interested in original civil records, criminal records, Bible records, cemetery inventories, church records, Ahow-to@ articles, historical anecdotes, or other useful genealogical information.  You may offer something that others would not see.

The VGS, established in 1982 and incorporated in 1986 in the State of Mississippi, is a non-profit entity.  Membership in the Society is open to everyone.  Effective June 1, 2008, annual dues, which are $25.00/household, cover the period June 1 through May 31 and include a subscription to Mississippi River Routes.  Donations to the Society are considered as deductible contributions on Federal Income Tax returns.
