John Wesley Lamb
John Wesley Lamb, Jr. was born Jan 1830 in
Jasper Co., GA. and married Sarah Ann Pharris on Jul 26, 1860 in Greensboro,
Wester Co., MS. John is the son of John Wesley Lamb, Sr.
and Lucinda C. Digby; and grandson of Nicholas Lamb and Temperance (possibly
Huffman). Nicholas, Temperance and 2 Cooper children are buried in the
Lamb Family Graveyard near Grady. John served in the 31st Ms. Infantry, Co.
E of Choctaw Co., MS. The 1880 Census finds John and Sarah in Sumner (now
Webster Co.) with a wife, 6 sons, 2 daughters, and a sister-in-law living in
his household.
On Oct 14, 1885, John was
appointed to handle the distribution of money from sale of W. D. Segler's
estate, as John Wesley's sister, Eliza, was wife of Washington D. Segler.
John Wesley's family is enumerated on the 1890 Walthall School Precinct in
Webster Co. John Wesley Lamb, Jr. and wife, Sarah (Farris) Lamb are
mentioned in the 1933 edition of the Webster Progress. John Wesley and Sarah
Pharris Lamb had the following children:

Parmelia Cameron; Alice Elizabeth Lamb b. Dec 1863 and m. Josiah Choice
Wiggins; William Wade Lamb b. Apr 1866 and m. Lura Geraldine Synnott;
Thomas Lafayette Lamb b. May 1868 and m. Mary Euretha (Mollie) Hays and
Sp 2 was Olive B. Jones; Charles Allen b. Aug 1873 and m. Mary S. Coleman;
James Wiley Lamb b. Aug 1877; Daniel Rueben Lamb, M.D.; b. May 1880 and
m. Lou Etta Lovett; Eugene Walter Lamb, Sr. b. Mar 1883 and m. Alice Louella
