Old Field Cemetery is located about 3 miles east of Walthall, north of Hwy. 50. Turn left onto a small gravel road, and the cemetery will be on the right, about 500 yard’s from the paved road.

She was the wife of S. W. Simpson, buried at Old Field Cemetery. Sarah was a Swindle before she married, and the daughter of John T. & Mary E. "Ballard" Swindle. Her death read's May 31, 1876, that is wrong, it should be May 31, 1924. Sarah was first married to George Lorenzo Card Sept. 26, 1859 in Winston Co., Miss. She was the mother of Joel Jasper Card, and Mollie "Card" Melton. After George died she married S. W. Simpson some time bet. 1864 - 1875, after Mr. Simpson died in 1876, she married a third time to a Mr. Ballard
