Mrs. Corbett Dies
Sunday at 7:10 a.m. Mrs Clara
Corbett passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. M. Schlette here
in Oil City. Mrs. Corbett was 68 years of age and had been in ill
health for sometime.
Funeral services were held
at Oil City church Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. and the remains were carried
to Concord cemetery to be laid to rest. The last rites were said
by the Rev. Fred Wilson of Yazoo City assisted by the Rev. J. W. Carpenter.
Active pall bearers were Gus Boles, A. W.
Torrans, Joe Broocks, James
Harris, C. C. Gilmore, and Bobby Coleman. Mrs. Corbett has many friends
here to mourn her passing for to know her was to love her. Stricklin King
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
