OBITUARY: FINAL RITES
HELD FOR J. M. TWINER, YAZOO COUNTIAN
Funeral services were held Tuesday for James Marion Twiner, who died Sunday
in Green-Leflore Hospital after several months illness.
Services were held at the
Short Creek church with the Rev. Joseph Oleander of Tehula officiating.
Interment was in Glenwood cemetery, with Striklin-King Funeral Home in
charge.
Mr. Twiner, who was 79, was a native of Yazoo County, and had made his
home in Greenwood for the past two years.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Barrentine of Greenwood,
Mrs. K. L. Simpson of Newport News, Va., Mrs. W. L. Logan of Yazoo City,
Mrs. D. B. Adcox of Pettus, Texan; three sons, J. Malcolm Twiner of Yazoo
City, Douglas Twiner of Natchez; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tom Ellzey, D. L. Ashley, Emmett Jones, Dallas Powell,
R. D. McNeese and B. B. Pallerson.
