OBITUARY: FUNERAL SERVICES
SET TODAY FOR MRS. J. M. TWINER
Mrs. J. M. Twiner died at her residence at Tinsley Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.
following a lengthy illness. She was 67 years old.
Funeral services will be conducted from the First Baptist Church of Yazoo
City today (Thursday) at 3 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. A. L.
Moore and Dr. Webb Brame. Interment will follow in Glenwood cemetery
under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Garner Neely, H. A. Lammons, Emmett Jones,
D. L. Ashley, Pat Patterson and Dallas Powell.
She is survived by her husband, J. M. Twiner, her sons, James Malcolm Twiner
Jr. and J. D. Twiner of Route one and Douglas Twiner of Natchez; and her
daughters Mrs. L. M. Barrentine of Greenwood, Mrs. R. R. Nall of Memphis,
Tenn., Mrs. K. L. Simpson of Warwick, Va. and Mrs. W. K. Logan of Route
One, Mrs. D. B. Adcock of Teltus, Tex. Sixteen granchildren and seven
great-grandchildren, her half brothers, J. C. "Carl" Taylor of this city
and William Taylor of Canton and one half-sister, Mrs. Joe Jones of this
city also survive.
She was a member of the Short Creek Baptist church, a devoted wife and
mother and active in church and community life until her illness.
