Meetings

 

The Society meets monthly at 1:00 PM, on the second Tuesday, at the Corvallis LDS Church, Eastside Highway, Corvallis, MT

 

Dues

 

If you would like to join the Society, yearly dues are $12.00 per year for individuals and $14.00 for couples, and are due each September.

 

Services

 

Society members will do selected Ravalli County lookups for free if they can be done from our own records. If additional research is required, a $10.00 fee (plus copy and mailing costs), payable in advance please, will be required. We have the following sources of information available: (1)"Bitterroot Trails", a publication of the Bitter Root Valley Historical Society documenting the history of the county, its towns, and pioneer families, (2) Ravalli County newspapers dating back to the formation of the county, (3) tombstone inscriptions, census records, Ravalli County school census records beginning in the early 1900s, etc. We will take digital photographs of tombstones or markers if available and if they can be made legible without damage to the stone or marker. We will do a tombstone rubbings for $20.00. Also, copies of the 1910 census index and cemetery indexes are available on CDs for $10.00 each plus media and mailing costs. The cemetery listings have additional information (burial plot location and tombstone inscriptions) not shown on the WEB page.
