I am looking for any information
on my great grandparents and family if there is any at all.
Wesley Ricketts married to
Wilhemia Cornelius. My grandfather was Emory W. Ricketts (born
October 28, 1876) in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania. They had several
children. The only information I have is on Emory. I have nothing
else. I would love to have any kind if possible to continue on
my genealogy. I don't know
where and when any of them died, but was in Livingston, Montana.
They moved from Pennsylvania. And my grandfather moved from there to Utah.

I'm trying to trace some of my family
that went to Montana in the 1920's. They were three brothers called Paddy,
John and Thomas Sloan --they left one brother behind. There were born in
Co. Down in Northern Ireland. My Grandfather would have been their nephew.
They obtained
their citizenship papers in Silver
Bow County. We lost contact with them in the late 40's. We knew that one
of their sons was a doctor. The last address we had was 1 Main Street.
I think they may have settled in Butte, I would be grateful if anyone could
help me, even just point me in the right direction to start my search.
My Grandfather is still alive and it would mean a great deal to him to
find his relations.

I have ancestors that lived in Livingston.
Some that are buried in cemeteries there.
I am looking for court records
of a criminal trial from about 1893. But, I am not sure if the trial was
in Livingston or Billings. My grandfather, William Nesbit Mortimer, was
with a 32 yr. old man when the 32 yr. old killed another man. The
32 yr. old was hanged the next day, and William hide on an Indian reservation.
This occurred in about 1893 when my grandfather was 17. He was caught
and went to jail. Since I do not have any more information on this event,
do you have any suggestions on where I should start looking?

My sister and I are researching our family history. We know our grandparents, Thomas C. Cunningham and his wife, Margret Wilson Cunningham Vink emigrated from Indiana in the late 1890's. They had three children, Joseph, Peter(aka Earl) and a daughter, possibly Minnie. They lived in Emigrant for the most part. Most of the family, other than Earl and Joseph are buried in Emigrant. The sister and all of her children are deceased and buried in Emigrant. The oldest son died from a gunshot wound while hunting: the remainder I believe died from smallpox or ?. We're trying to find birthdates, dates of death and names. We also would like to know the date of the marriage of Margaret Wilson Cunningham to Peter Vink. Any chance of some help?????

Paul Mandeville
Wednesday, April 22, 1998 11:02 am
One of my grandfather's nephews,
by the name of Joseph Elli Mandeville, wrote to Canada in November 1884.
The letter was written on a 8+ by 11 letterhead with: M.MOUNTS & CO.
GEYSER CONCERT HALL, Best Imported Wines, Liquors and Cigars. The owners
were M.MOUNTS, W.R.KERMODE and W.E.DAVIS. I think from his letter that
he was a horse trader, since he mentions being kind of ruined by the arrival
of the railway. Maybe he was lucky to find a wife, still the best way to
get kids, at least in that time!! I am not looking for any inheritance,
but we may still have some relatives around Bozeman or Salesville that
we've never heard of since 1884.

ADKINS
At some time during the years
of 1895-1908, my Grandfather, William Tobe Adkins of Arkansas ran away
from home to become a cowboy. This was at the ripe old age of 15-16 yrs.
It is believed that he worked on some of the ranches around Livingston.
From some odd responses to old photographs, it is also believed that he
might have left behind some offspring. Any help in this endeavor is appreciated.

WHEELER, SAYLE, VILLERS, LATON
Looking for Marjori Rose WHEELER
(maiden name). Died June 14th, 1938 in Ronan Montana. She is my grandmother.
She lived on the Reverse R Bar Circle ranch. She was married to my grand
father with the Last name of SAYLE, however, I believe she was re-married
to a man named Willey VILLERS and also possibly married to a man named
Bill LATON. I'm not sure what last name she had at death. We believe she
was a migrant worker. Her only son was my father - Frederick Charles Sayle,
who has now passed away with a lot of unanswered questions. We believe
she was Native American descent. Possibly from a Canadian tribe. I was
lead to believe she was french as well. On my fathers birth certificate
her middle initial was the letter "L" instead of "R" for Rose. I don't
know which is right. I also know that Willey Villers had two sons. Please
help me. I need to know!!
