A VETERAN OF B TROOP FIRST U. S. CAVALRY.

EDITOR, WINNERS OF THE WEST:

I was sure glad to get a copy of WINNERS OF THE WEST. Did not know there was such a publication in existence. Have been out to Honduras since 1910 and so lost track of things in the states.

I served in old B Troop, 1st U. S. Cavalry at Fort Custer, Montana, 1886-91.

We had a run in with the Crows on the same field as Custer. Their bullets spattered the Custer Monument. Did you ever hear of it?

I would greatly appreciate hearing from some of the old B Troop boys.
