1855 Tax List for Campobello Parish
The following information was received from the NB Provincial Archives in New Brunswick. These records are NOT on microfilm. They were found in a file containing Campobello Information that is held in their Archival Holdings. Unfortunately I did not write down the file number. However if you wish to view the documents I am sure the archivest there can steer you in the right area as he did me :) Transcribed by Heather Waddingham.
(?) Indicates the word was hard to decipher and the spelling is questionable. Some of the spellings were "different" than they appear in later years. In those cases I have added the "proper" spelling in brackets. ie: Finney (Phinney), Gillijan (Gilligan) Gallaher (Gallagher).
Collector(s) of the taxes in 1855 was Luke Byron, James Wilson and Arthur Flagg.
