"To Whom it May Concern: - The people of Campobello are holding the record of William Mitchell. He was the first man to build a house on the North Road. He lived here about 25 years. 3 of his family were born here. He married Anna Small of South Lubec and was the father of 13 children.

He moved from here to Maine in a place called Limerick Hancock County. He died there or Columbia. This was given me that some of the Mitchell heirs may get the fortune that was willed to him from his brother in British Honduras. Aunt Sally gave this to me.

Mr William Mitchell was his grand-father, signed Margaret Jane Mitchell, wife of Daniel K. Mitchell. He died 1760, March 12. Born 1865, May 19."
