Wilson's Beach, Campobello- Mrs. John Fitzsimmons passed away at her home here on Tuesday of last week, after two days of illness. The deceased was a daughter of the late Wm. James and was twice married. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Whittier, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Blaidsell in the United States and Mrs. Carter who lives near, also four sons, Charles, William, Earl and Joseph all living at home, two sisters, Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Duncan, and one half-sister, Mrs. Parker, also several grandchildren. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to them all in their sad loss.

At the Togus Veterans Hospital, Augusta, Maine, May 12, 1993, Herbert Ralph Fitzsimmons of Wilson's Beach, Campobello, N.B.

Survived by his wife; three sons; one sister; two brothers; 6 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Remains rested at the Christian Temple Church, Lubec, Maine, until Friday, may 14, from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. canadian time with the Rev. Francis Mabey officiating.

Interment in the Wilson's Beach New Cemetery.

The death of Janet Vennell Fitzsimmons, of Wilson's Beach, Campobello Island, N.B., occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Oct. 29, 2004. Born in Norwood, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Vennell) Frost. Survived by her husband, Joseph Fitzsimmons; two daughters, Kimberley (Kevin) Farmer of Wilson's Beach, N.B., and Ellen Fitzsimmons of Fredericton, N.B.; son, Kenneth (Melanie) of Wilson's Beach, N.B.; sister, Nancy (Edward) Cline of Welshpool, N.B.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Leslie Fitzsimmons; grandson, Brady; and sister, Louise Glazebrook. Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at the St. Anne's Anglican Church, Welshpool. The funeral was held on Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 from the church, with Rev. Charles Smart officiating. The pallbearers for the service were Omer (Turk) Brunet, Lee Newman, Tom Hendershot, Timmy Martin, John Brown and Kevin Farmer. Interment took place at Head Harbour Cemetery.
