1.  FRANCIS1 RICHARDSON was born Abt. 1700 in Wrabness, Essex England, and died 1776 in Wrabness, Essex England.  He married (1) MARY CARRINGTON Abt. 1722.  She died 1739 in Wrabness, Essex England.  He married (2) SARAH RUDLAND FENNING 1740.  She died 1757.  He married (3) ELIZABETH PARKER 1758.  She died Abt. 1770.

              WILL OF FRANCIS RICHARDSON OF WRABNESS 1776

 

                       IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN.

I Francis Richardson of Wrabness Hall in the Parish of Wrabness in the County of Essex,Gentleman being weak in  body  but of a Sound mind and memory.Do make and publish this my  last  Will and Testament in manner following that is to say,First I  order that all my just debts,funeral expenses Probate of this my Will and all other incident charges should be fully paid and discharged by my  Executor out of my personal Estate as soon as convenient after  my decease  and  all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Estates  wherewithin  it has pleased God to bless me in this world I dispose thereof in manner following

 

Item I give and bequeath  to  my  son  John Richardson the sum of Five hundred Pounds  to  be  paid  to him within one year after my decease.

 

Item I give and bequeath to  my son Nathaniel Richardson one year after my decease the sum of One  Hundred  Pounds  of lawful money of Great Britain But if my son  Nathaniel Richardson should happen to die before the said  Legacy  becomes  payable  then  I  give  the said One hundred Pounds to my son in law Robert Cooper of Little Bentley in the said County,farmer.

 

Item  I  give  and  bequeath   unto  my  two granddaughters  Mary Richardson and Sarah  Richardson  Daughters  of  my  late  son Francis Richardson the sum of Sixty Pounds a  piece  to  be paid to them by my Executors one year after my decease.

 

Item  I  give  and   bequeath   to  my  Grandchildren,Christopher Richardson,John Richardson and Elizabeth  Richardson sons and daughter also of my said late  son  Francis  Richardson  the  like sum of Sixty Pounds a piece to be paid to them  by my Executor as they shall attain their respective ages of Twenty one years And my Mind and Will is that if either or any of  my  said  five grandchildren above mentioned, sons and daughters of my said late  son Francis Richardson should happen to die before his,her or their  Legacy  or  Legacies shall become due and payable and without lawful  Issue  of  his  her  or  their bodies Then his,her or their Legacy or Legacies  so dying shall be equally divided amongst the survivors,share and share alike.

 

Item I give and bequeath  to  Ruben  Page  of  the said Parish of Wrabness,farmer the sum of Fifty Pounds  to  be paid to him within one year after my decease.I also  give  and  devise  to him the said Ruben Page All that my Messuage  and  premises situate in Wrabness aforesaid in the occupation of  Johnathan  Baxter  and  George Hodge.To hold the same with the appurtenances to him and  the said Ruben Page and to his heirs and assigns forever.

 

Item I give and devise  to  my  said  son  in law Robert Cooper of Little Bentley aforesaid farmer. All those my messuages, tenements Lands and premises situate in  Wrabness  aforesaid  called Lombard Street as the same are now in several  occupations  of ?aar from the Widow Rouse and William Sallows or  their  undertenants. To hold the said premises with their and every of  their  hereditaments and appurtenances to him the said Robert Cooper and  to  his  Heirs  and Assigns forever. I also give devise and bequeath to him  the said Robert Cooper the remainder of the Term of the Lease of  Wrabness Hall Farm unexpired at the time of my decease and all my  stock  and furniture both within and without doors and all the rest residue and  remainder of my Estate and Estates both real and personal  whatsoever  and  wheresoever  that I shall die possessed  of or intitled unto.To hold the same and every part thereof to him my said son-in-law Robert  Cooper  and to his Heirs and assigns forever And I also nominate constitute and appoint him the said Robert Cooper,Sole Executor of this my Will  and revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made I do declare this to be my last.

 

In witness whereof I have to this  my last Will and Testament sat and Subscribed my hand and seal this Twenty Third day of September in the Thirteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Third and in the  year  of  our  Lord  One  Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Three. Francis Richardson. 

 

Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence  of us who in his presence and in the presence of each  other  have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto Thos.Inman,Saml Campion & Jno Ambrose.

 

THIS WILL of Francis Richardson late  of the Parish of Wrabness in the County of Essex so waser? was proved  on the twentieth day of May in the year  of  our  Lord  One  Thousand  Seven  Hundred  and Seventy Six.Before the Reverend Samuel Newman,clerk  Surrogate and by the oath of Robert Cooper the sole  Executor to  whom Administration of all and singular Goods and  Chattles  and  credits  of  the  said deceased was granted and committed on the Seventeenth day of June next following he being first sworn duly to administor.

2.  JOHN2 RICHARDSON (FRANCIS1) was born April 24, 1727 in Wrabness Hall, Essex England, and died March 21, 1807 in Bradfield, Essex England.  He married ELIZABETH SHEARMAN October 30, 1777.  She was born Abt. 1747 in Essex, England, and died December 14, 1824 in Essex, England.

                                         (20th Sept.1805)

 

This is the  last  Will  and  Testament  of  me  JOHN RICHARDSON of Wrabness Hall in  the  County  of  Essex,Farmer,being  at  the time of making therof of sound  mind  Memory  and Understanding.

 

Whereas I have already provided for my Eldest Son JOHN RICHARDSON with which Trust he is fully satisfied.I desire that  all  my  Just Debts Funeral Expenses and the charges of proving or otherwise this my Will may be first paid I give unto my  Executors hereinafter  named  the sum of Eight Hundred Pounds of Lawful English Money  upon  Trust  to  place the same out on Government or good real security and  to pay the Dividends or Interest thereof unto my Daughter  ELIZABETH  RICHARDSON  for  her  own use and benefit during the term of her natural life whose Receeipt alone shall be a sufficient discharge for the  same  and  not to be subject to the Debts or Control of  any  Husband.And  from  and  immediately after my decease of my said Daughter I  give  the said Eight Hundred Pounds and such Dividends and Interest as shall be  then due unto and amongst all and every the child or children  of  my said Daughter lawfully Issuing if more than one equally to be divided between them but if there shall be no such Child then I give the said Eight Hundred Pounds unto my son FRANCIS RICHARDSON  I  give  and  devise  unto  my  said  son  FRANCIS RICHARDSON  All  those   my   Messuages   or   Tenements   Farm  Lands Hereditaments and Premises with  the  Appurtenances  situate lying and being in the Parish of Wrabness in  the  County of Essex part of which is Freehold and part Copyhold and  all other my Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever.To hold the same  unto  my said son FRANCIS RICHARDSON his Heirs and Assigns foever  subject  nevertheless  to the payment of the aforesaid Legacy of Eight  Hundred  Pounds.And also Subject to the payment of the Annuity hereinafter mentioned And my Will and desire is that the same Lands and Premises may be occupied and farmed by my said Wife for the Natural Benefit of herself and my said son FRANCIS untill he shall attain the age of twenty three years if my said Wife shall so long continue my Widow But in case my  Wife shall cease to be my Widow by Marriage or Death before my  said  son FRANCIS shall attain the age of twenty three years Then and in such case I desire that the same may be occupied and farmed for the sole Benefit of him the said FRANCIS

I give and bequeath my Lease of  Wrabness Hall Farm and all my Farming Stocks,Crops Utensils Household  Furniture,Linen  Plate China Pictures Money Securities for Money Goods  Chattles personal Estate and effects of what nature or kind soever the same shall be unto and to the use of my said Dear Wife ELIZABETH and my said son FRANCIS RICHARDSON.To hold use employ occupy possess enjoy receive and  take the same and all the profits produce and Interets  thereof  unto  and  for  their Joint and mutual Benefit and Advantage until my son FRANCIS shall attain the age of twenty three years in case my  said  Wife shall so long continue my Widow And upon my said  son  FRANCIS  RICHARDSON  attaining the age of twenty three years Or if my said Wife before he attains that age shall cease to be my Widow by marriage or death Then and in either or any of  the said cases I give the said Lease Farming Stock ,Crops,Utensils, Household Furniture,  Linen,Plate,China,Pictures,Money,Securities  for Money Goods Chattles personal  Estate  and  Effects  unto  my said son FRANCIS RICHARDSON his Executoirs and  Administrators  And my Will and desire is that my Farming Business and  concern shall be carried on in the meantime for the joint and mutual Benefit and Advantage of my said wife and son FRANCIS and at  their  joint  Risque  I give unto my said Wife One Annuity or clear Yearly sum of Forty Pounds of Lawful English money for and during the term of her natural life to commence from the time  of  my  decease  and  to  be  paid  her  Half  yearly  in  equal payments.And I do hereby Charge  the  whole  of  my Real Estate and my Effects with the payment therof I appoint  my said Wife Guardian of my said Daughter and son FRANCIS  I  constitute  and appoint my said Wife ELIZABETH  RICHARDSON,Robert  Hardy  of  Bradfield,Farmer  and  Thomas Woodruffe of Ramsey,Farmer Executrix and Executors of this my Will.And I give unto the  said  Robert  Hardy  and Thomas Woodruffe,Five pounds each for their trouble in the Execution therof In Witness wherof I the said JOHN RICHARDSON  the  testator  have  to  this  my  last Will and Testament contained in this and proceeding  sheet of paper set my Hand and seal to wit my Hand to  the  proceeding  sheet my Hand and seal to this sheet and my Seal at  the  top  where the same sheets are affixed together this Twentieth day of September  in  the Year of our Lord One thousand eighthundred and five.

Notes for FRANCES "FANNIE" ELLEN RICHARDSON:

Mrs William Richardson

 

Archdeacon  Dumbrille, Vicar of St. Mary Magdalene Church, conducted the funeral of the late Mrs. William Richardson, which was held at her late residence, Piety Hill, on Saturday afternoon. The funeral was of a private character, and the immediate mourners were her two sons, W.E. Richardson and Stanley Richardson and one daughter, Miss Carrie Richardson as well as Grandchildren. Mr Richardson pre-deceased her several months ago.  The casket was banked with several lovely floral tokens.  The pall-bearers were: Reeve Capt. A.S. Hughson, W.H. Milling, J.V. Topping, Matt Taylor, Enos Pringle and Mr. Keech. Internment took place in Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs William Richardson

 

Archdeacon  Dumbrille, Vicar of St. Mary Magdalene Church, conducted the funeral of the late Mrs. William Richardson, which was held at her late residence, Piety Hill, on Saturday afternoon. The funeral was of a private character, and the immediate mourners were her two sons, W.E. Richardson and Stanley Richardson and one daughter, Miss Carrie Richardson as well as Grandchildren. Mr Richardson pre-deceased her several months ago.  The casket was banked with several lovely floral tokens.  The pall-bearers were: Reeve Capt. A.S. Hughson, W.H. Milling, J.V. Topping, Matt Taylor, Enos Pringle and Mr. Keech. Internment took place in Riverview Cemetery.

I found an Agnes Turpin  on the  1881 census   (sister to Fanny Ellen b  1852)

 

Look in Family Search 1881 census  for England.

She is married to John E F Turpin  40.......surveyer

Agnes is 27 and John is 40

They have a son  Edward  13 mos.

 

Then on my 2 week  14 day free trial   I was able to check out the Essex census     I found Agnes turpin   39 

She is living on her own means at 24 High Street in Wivenhoe,Essex.

With her are  Edward  13  and  Donald  LT  son  4.

Notes for DOROTHY RICHARDSON:

Dorothy was born in Stafford England and came to Canada as a young child with her family. She would later become a registered nurse, studying at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. She would then go back to England during WW#2 working in the Nursing field.

 

Upon her return to Canada she worked at a local hospital in Kingston. It was here that she met Rupert Amy who she would later marry in 1947. Together they would raise Rupert's daughter from a previous marriage... Lois Amey.

 

As a past time Dorothy would paint in Oil colors.

 

At the time of her death she had been ill for a short time. She was diagnosed in May of 1995 and died a couple weeks later in June of Cancer of the Pancreas, the same illness that claimed her father.
