The Carleton County death registers are available from P.A.N.B. 1888-1919 microfilm reel # F13391 and 1888 microfilm reel # F13390. It is important to note that every death that occurred in Carleton County was not officially recorded. Church records might provide missing data. There is also a Provincial Registers of Death:Index available on microfilms from the PANB also Provincial Returns of deaths are returns that cover the entire province and are arranged alphabetically by surname. Check the Carleton County genealogical guide for microfilm references.
Individual returns provide: 1) name of deceased; 2) residence; 3) date and place of death; 4) sex and age; 5) occupation; 6) place of birth; 7) religious denomination; 8) cause of death; 9) duration of illness; 10) names of attending physician and informant.

they registered deaths months after the event and several at a time. The deaths were
recorded in order of date registered. The informants for the above page were:
G.W.McDonald, Clergyman, Woodstock, (Free Baptist). Thomas Neals, Rector, Woodstock,
(Church of England). A.H.Hayward, Clergyman, Florenceville, (Baptist). #84 was
registered 31 December 1890 and #1 was registered 30 January 1891. Ella Spinney was a
niece to Agnes Whitehouse.
Names of physicians listed: Dr. Paddock, Dr. Connell and Dr. S. Smith all from the
Woodstock area. Dr. M.C. Atkinson and Dr. J.R. Hagerman from the Florenceville area.

Flewelling, Rector at Centreville, A.C.Moffatt, Physician from Kilburn and Joshua Denton, Minister, Woodstock. Physicians not already mentioned include Dr. Atkinson, Dr. Brown, Dr. Bell, Dr. Commins, Dr. Hand, Dr. Rankin and Dr. Casy Smith.
