Photos of soldiers of World War I

Woodburn McIsaac- 1892-1986, of Florenceville,NB.

The back of the photo states that the picture was taken in "January, 1915 and George Woodburn McIsaac, son of James (Pa Jim) McIsaac and Laura Orser".He 'went over the top' twice at Vimy Ridge and was injured at Passeondale, sent to Scotland to recover, and returned to Italy for service toward the end of the war. I also think that he enlisted in the United States army for WW2. He married Alberta Golding, purchased a farm in Upper Brighton, NB. Later they moved to Washburn, Maine where they lived and raised their family. Photo Courtesy of Allen McIsaac August 2004
