I've been working on the Charlotte County GenWeb pages for the past 6 years. I've met some many wonderful people during the course of my travels either by land or in cyberspace. I've also connected with many new relatives. New Brunswick people should be proud of their friendliness and courtesy to "outsiders". Working on this website is a real pleasure.
I would like to dedicate the Charlotte County GenWeb site to a wonderful lady, whom I've just recently met. She is 90+ years old, and was introduced to genealogy by her mother, Sarah Henrietta Hill. Between the two of them, these ladies have been working the HILL family for well over 100 years!
This site is dedicated to
Sarah's daughter, and my 2nd cousin once removed, Helen Hutchison Bridges of Spring Hill,
Florida and Raymond, Maine. Helen's paternal 3rd great
grand-father is Japhet HILL and her maternal 3rd great
grand-father is Daniel HILL, a half-brother to Japhet.
These two half-brothers are a couple of 'founding
fathers' to Charlotte County, NB and Washington County, ME
history. Helen has been a guiding force in the
Daughters of the American Revolution Organization (DAR) in
Massachusetts, Maine and Florida. Her willingness to share
and guide others is what makes genealogists the friendly,
welcoming people they are today. Thank you Helen for
sharing with me and welcoming me into your family and home. Helen
died in August of 2004.
