        mid-west, in particular Wisconsin & Minnesota after the lumbering industry started dying off. This is a great
        resource that is being built slowly.

Provincial Archives of NB (PANB)-English
Provincial Archives of NB (PANB)- French Birth, marriage, land grants and lots of other GREAT things here!  Provincial Records are closed for 95 years, therefore the archives has records up to and include 1905.  If you are interested in more current vital statistics, you will need to get in touch with the Vital Statistics Department.

W.K.R.P.

W.K.R.P. (Washington/Charlotte Kounty Records Preservation). This is a quarterly newsletter that has been published for four years. It contains articles about who is doing what in the world of genealogy and historical preservation in Washington Co., Maine and Charlotte Co., New Brunswick. It also contains free queries, a wish list, and research completed. Our Winter issue is being sent to about 340 people/organizations across the US and Canada. The newsletter is run totally on donations. Please send e-mail to Sharon Howland.

Downeast Ancestors

Downeast Ancestors is a genealogy column published in The Quoddy Tides. This newspaper is published in Eastport, ME with subscribers in the Passamaquoddy Bay region of Washington Co., ME and Charlotte Co., NB. The column is written by Lee Jeffries. Queries should be typed or printed on 3 x 5 cards and include at least one name and date. If asking a question which requires an answer, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
