June 13 Clarendon Charlotte County

Dear Home Folks,

Just a few lines to let you know how we are getting along. Well I must tell you that Poor old Mrs McLoud is dead. She died very suddenly last Tuesday morning she will be buried today at 1 one o'clock. She has been in to see Mrs. Easton last week and Frank took her home Sunday evening. She was quite well till Tuesday morning when she came out to her breakfast and while eating she took a sever pain in her chest. Before they could take her to bed she was dead.

Do you know there was a man found dead up in South branch inlet dead, he is supposed to have been there since last 24 of October he had a large bundle of letters by that date address to Duins camp. No one knows who he is or where he came from. He has a hole in the side of his throat they think perhaps that hole may have been eaten by something or he may have killed himself, but but they cannot tell any thing about it as the body has been there so long in the water. No one knows how he could have got there as here was no ice to get across on. Kupcee's found him Some one tellagrahed to the coroner to see what will be done with him he is not buried yet. Poor fellow it is very sad to think of the end he came to. They say he must have been a man of about 35. but how can they tell, he had a pipe in his pocket but no tobacco and no money he must have been going to camp.

We read in yesterday's paper that you had a drowning accident on the battle river a Mr. Armstrong of Manitou Lake Was he one of your neighbors it was to bad it's a wonder the government don't build a bridge they was to. This leaves every one very well except myself I have kind of a cold.

I am as ever your loving daughter and Sister

Nellie Graham
