MacAfee, Mrs Mary Ann (Bell)                 Kings County Record 25 May 1931
After a very short illness, one of Sussex' veteran residents, Mrs Mary Ann MacAfee died at 2:45 pm Wednesday afternoon at the home of her son, Alward MacAfee, St George Street. She was 85 years of age. She was one of the pioneers of the county, and, up until a short time ago, was exceedingly active.
  Well known in Kings County, and many other portions of the province, Mrs MacAfee was well respected by all who had the honor of knowing her. She was a staunch member of the Anglican Church of Canada, and at all times was deeply interested in her own church, Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex.

MacNutt, Claude H                                               Kings County Record 1 April 1965
A wide circle of friends and relatives learned with regret of the death of Claude H MacNutt, which occured at Kings County Memorial Hospital on March 23 following a lengthly illness.  Mr MacNutt was born at Elm Valley, Kings County, on May 28, 1907, son of the late James W and Mary J (Carr) MacNutt, and lived there until 1923, when his father, a retired lumberman, moved with his family to Sussex Corner. A few years later, Mr MacNutt, taking up electrical engineering as a profession, went to Michigan, where he spent two years in advanced work at his chosen profession, returning to New Brunswick in 1938. He married Miss Elsie Sullivan, Millbrook, and again took up residence at Sussex Corner, where they have since resided. He was well and favorably known, serving in the Sussex area and many surrounding districts as a congenial electrician. He will be missed by his many patrons as a friend as well as for his willing and efficient service. Mr MacNutt was a highly respected citizen and a faithful member of the United Church. Surviving are his wife and one sister, Mrs Foster Matthews, St. Andrews.
  The body rested at Wallace Funeral Home, from where the funeral was held on friday at 2:30 pm. Rev J B Roberts officiated ... Interment took place in Sussex Corner cemetery.

Bickford, Elizabeth Ann (McAuley)
    Kings County Record 2 March 1944
The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Bickford, widow of Richard Bickford, occurred of the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vincent McIlroy, Bloomfield, Kings County, on February 25th following a brief illness and came as a shock to her relatives and friends.
  The deceased was born at Dutch Valley, Kings County, a daughter of the late William and Lucy Patterson McAuley, and had reached the advanced age of 90 years. She was a woman of exemplary character, devoted to her family and a freind to all who needed her. She will be lovingly remembered by a host of friends to whom she gave of her time and energy in loving service. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Norton.

McEwen, Edwin                                                  Kings County Record 18 March 1965
Friends and relatives were saddened by the death of Edwin McEwen, which occured at his home, Sussex Corner, March 7, following several months' illness. Mr McEwen was born in Walker Settlement, Oct 6 1881, a son to the late Hebron and Eliza (Robinson) McEwen. He retired from farming and moved to Sussex Corner 12 years ago. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Waterford.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Althea Wallace, one son, Harvey McEwen, Campbellton; four daughters, Mrs Melbourne Crothers, Sussex; Mrs Roy Gulliver, Medford, Mass.; Mrs Murray Crothers, Lower Millstream; and Mrs Claude Wilcox, at home; one sister, Mrs Robert Anderson, Apohaqui; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr McEwen was predeceased by a son, Ora, killed in action overseas.
  The body rested at the home, from where the funeral was held March 9, conducted by the Rev Canon H J Hoyt, assisted by Rev Peter Cowland ... Pallbearers were six nephews, Ralph McEwen, Ronald Perry, Bertram Anderson, Cecil Adair, Oscar Adair and Harold Walker.

McFarland, G James

The funeral of G James McFarland, 157 Fowler Avenue, Sussex, who lost his life in an accident at Rockville Bridge on March 22, was held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex, on Wednesday, March 24.
  Born at Shepody Road, Nov 14, 1897, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Anderson) McFarland. On moving to Walker Settlement, he attended school there and later moved with his parents to Urney. In 1919 he married Marion B Proctor. He farmed in Urney until her death in 1930. At this time an infant son, Donald, also died. He later married Grace A Proctor, who died in February of this year. In the early 1930's he operated a garage at Sussex Corner, and then went into the lumbering industry. At the time of his death, he had just completed the winter logging operation at the Goose Creek camp of J & C Hickman.
  The body rested at the home of his son, Clarence, where Markhamville LOL # 91, of which he was a member of long standing, held a memorial service Tuesday evening. He was a member of Trinity Church, Sussex.
  He leaves to mourn two sons, George, Moncton, and Clarence, Sussex; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Alexander and Robert, Sussex Corner; five sisters, Mrs Melbourn Buchanan, Mrs William E Proctor, and Mrs Elmer Buchanan, Rockville, Mrs Edgar Armstrong, Roachville, and Mrs Herbert Proctor, Riverbank.
  The largely attended funeral service was conducted by Rev. Canon H J Hoyt ... Interment was in Sussex Corner cemetery.

Morrow, Garfield                                                    Kings County Record 23 May 1974
The death of Garfield Morrow, Aiton Raod, Sussex, occured on May 8 at Kings County Memorial Hospital. ... Born at Cedar Camp he was the son of the late John and Martha (Walker) Morrow. He was a well-known farmer all his life and retired in 1969. Last year he moved to Aiton Road.
  He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Forsythe; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Coggar (Marie), Roachville. and Mrs Ronald Tulik [?] (Jean), Moncton; one son, Garfield, Jr., Roachville; one brother, Walter John, Rockville; four sisters, Mrs Frank Walker and Mrs Emery Henderson and Mrs Perley Nase, all of Saint John, and Mrs. Crandall Forsythe, Waterford; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews ... Funeral was Saturday by Rev. Harold Hazen and burial took place at Sussex Corner
