Joan McLeod, was the original Dumbarton Site Admin. Joan passed away in 2011. At Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, April 2, 2011, Joan Marion McLeod of Brockway,York County, NB. Wife of Glenn K.McLeod and daughter of the late John and Mary (Smith)Brockway. Survived by her husband, one sister, Hilda Nichols of Lincoln, NB, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, David and Raymond Brockway and one sister, Diane Parfitt. Resting at The S. O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St.Stephen, N.B.(506-466-1844)from where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Interment Brockway Union Cemetery, Brockway, NB. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Charlotte County S.P.C.A. , Heart Fund or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
My name is Joan McLeod and I'm your Dumbarton Parish Coordinator. I live in Brockway, York County, NB. Dumbarton Parish is next to York County where I live. I am a descendent of Reuben Brockway who came to NB from NH in the early 1800's. My husband is Glen McLeod and we have no kids, just a cat at the moment. I am a retired Secretary from the Lawrence Station Elementary School. I have 2 sisters who are living and 2 brothers who had passed away a few years ago. I am a member of the New Brunswick Genealogy Society and I also write Queries for our NBGS publication called "Generations" that is sent out every 3 months.
