The Petition of Paulina Benson of the Parish of Grandmanan in the County of Charlotte aforesaid
Your Petitioner prays that letters of administration of the estate and effects of the said Henry Benson may be granted to her in due form of law and as in duty bound will ever pray.

That widow Paulina Benson have letters of administration on the said estate

That the said Paulina Benson together with William McLean of Saint Andrews, trader, and William Guptill, Senior, of Grand Manan, Farmer, give bond in eight hundred pounds for the due administration of the trust.

That Church Meigs and Lorenzo Drake of Grand Manan be appraisers of the said estate

Be it remembered that on this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and forty seven, before me Harris Hatch, Surrogate Judge in and for the said County, personally appeared Polina Benson Administratrix on the estate of Henry Benson deceased late of the Parish of Grand Manan, in a true,just, and perfect inventory of all the estate of the said Henry Benson Junior, which has come to her possession and knowledge, and of any more should come, she will give it into the hand of each herewith.
