The death of Samuel Leonard Gilmore, of McCarthy's Special Care Home, occurred unexpectedly on Friday January 10, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 7, 1960 in Grand Manan, NB he is the son of Anne (Farnsworth) Gilmore and Leonard Gilmore. Besides his parents he is survived by his brother Roy (Crystal) Gilmore of Grand Manan; sisters Joan Stark of Halifax and Brenda Gilmore of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Brothers Paul Martin, George David, and sister Suzanne Marie predeceased him. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424), with visitation on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9. Visitation will then take place in the Central Wesleyan Church, Grand Manan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday January 14, 2003 at 1 p.m. from the Central Wesleyan Church. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery. Donations made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
