Mrs. Laleah M. Brown, 91 of Grand Manan passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home, Tuesday, January 14th, 2003. Mrs. Brown was born of the late John Capen and Vivian (Morse) Ossinger, she was a member of the Grand Harbour United Baptist Church, the Helping Hands, and also a Member of the Alexandra #1 Pythian Sisters. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Geraldine (John) Ingersoll of Woodwards Cove, and one son Mr. Murray (Mary) Brown of Grand Harbour, one sister, Mrs. Blanche Guptill of Grand Harbour, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her husband Sherman, one grandson Bryce Daggett, one sister Helen Moorhouse and one brother Maybury Ossinger. Visiting hours will be held at Ells Funeral Home Thursday January 16th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and the funeral service will be held from the Grand Harbour United Baptist Church Friday, January 17th, at 1 pm with Rev.
