Grand Manan, was created in 1816 when it was separated from West Isles Parish. It is located off the southeastern coast of Washington County, Maine (USA) and southwest of Campobello. It is accessible by Government-run ferry service out of Black's Harbour, NB. (see #1 on the map below).
