Parish of Westfield, Kings Co. Died Intestate. Administration granted 8 November 1824 to James COLE and Isaac STEVENS. Fellow bondsmen Stephen STEVENS and David HAMM, all of Kings County. Inventory, dated 5 July 1824, valued about 53 pounds by Matthew HAMM, John SMITH and David HAMM.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Coffey of the Parish of Kingston in Kings County, Yeoman - made in the manner following - that is to say ---
     First - I give and devise unto my sons William Coffey and Robert Coffey a;; and singular the Farm or Lot of Land situate in the same Parish of Kingston purchased by me from the late Walter Bates deceased and whereon I now reside, to hold to them, their Heird and Assigns forever as Tenants in Common and not as joint tenants -
    Secondly - I give to my son William Coffey all that certain Lot of Land Situate on the Shepody Road in the Parish of Upham granted to me by the Crown and Known in the Grant thereof as Lot Number four (No. 4) containing One hundred Acres more or less - to him his Heirs Assigns forever -
    Thirdly - I give and devise unto my second son Robert Coffey all that certain Lot of Land situate on the said Shepody Road in the said parish of Upham and Known in the said Grant from the Crown as Lot Number three, his Heirs and Assigns forever - the same containing One hundred Acres more or less -
    Fourthly - I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Mary Coffey all the household furniture that I may [still] possed of to be at her sole disposal And I do Will and direct that my said sons William and Robert shall out of the property given to them by this Will pay to their Mother the sum of Ten pounds Currency annually during her natural life and provide for her a comfortable home during her life. Provided she accepts the above annuity in lieu of any clain of Dower in my Real Estate, And as to the rest and residue of my personal Estate I give and bequeath the same unto my said Sons William and Robert to be equally divided between them.
    Fithly - I give and bequeath to my sons James Coffey John Coffey Henry Coffey and Richard Coffey the sum of five shillings each to be paid to them by my said sons William and Robert, also I give to my daughter Margaret the Wife of James Rafferty the sum of five Shillings to be paid by the aforesaid - And
    Lastly I do nominate and appoint my said sons James Coffey and Henry Coffey to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I hereunto Set my hand and seal this twenyth day of January 1845
