Census records for New Brunswick are available on microfilm from the National Archives of Canada via inter-library loan. Microfilm reel numbers are listed in italics.  Nominal census records provide more complete information on all family members, than the heads of household census of earlier days.

The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick in Fredericton has census records on microfilm. These are for on-site use only. There are census indexes available for some counties between the years 1851 and 1901. This varies by county. Please see the county guides available from the Provincial Archives. Also, many Libraries have set of census records covering thier local area, or of the entire province, as do many LDS Family History Centers.

There are published records for Kings County Census for 1851, as well as for Kingston Parish for 1861,1871, 1881.  These can be purchased from The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick (see above).

One should remember that at various times in history the boundry lines seemed to be obscure, and one might find persons recorded in a nearby parish, or families might have moved a few miles down the road in the 10 years between census recordings.
