My name is G. Christian (Chris) Larsen, and I currently reside in Pennfield, NB. I became interested in genealogy in September of 1989, and these days I can be found researching many families from the Parish of Pennfield. These families include: Barry, Bates, Best, Crickard, Cross, Dunbar, Eldridge, Gillespie, Hawkins, Hunter, Jack, Justason, McDowell, McKay, Mealey, Nodding, Paul, Spear, Tatton, Thompson, Trynor, Wadlin, Wright & Young.
Also involved in the Beaver Harbour Community Ventures Ltd. Have served as chairman of the Archives committee since 1999 and been a member of the board of directors since 2000 - currently serving as President. The B.H.C.V. is helping to preserve the rich & diversified history of Beaver Harbour, a community first established by the Quakers and others in September of 1783.
On January 26th, 2007 I began to gather and compile information on the former Pennfield Airbase (No.2 Air Navigation School, No.34 Operational Training Unit, and RCAF Station, Pennfield Ridge) and Camp Utopia (A-30 Canadian Infantry Training Centre). On November 28, 2007 incorporated "Pennfield Parish Military Historical Society" to help further preserve the rich military history of Pennfield Parish. Currently a member of the "Canadian Aviation Historical Society"; Ventura Memorial Flight Association and 2nd Tactical Air Force Medium Bombers Association, Canadian Wing.
