No.2 Air Navigation School (ANS) Map

"Pennfield Parish Military Historical Society" has an additional map (with legend) entitled "Bounds and Building Area/ No.2 Air Navigation School/ Pennfield Ridge, NB." This map use to hang on the wall of the Administration Building was given to "PPMHS" by J. David Stuart who was the N.C.O. in charge of the orderly room (office) at No.2 ANS. The map identifies all known buildings existing in 1941, including hydrants, hose reel houses, fire alarm boxes and transformers.

"The Airmen's Canteen is located West of the Recreation Hall. Here cigarettes, tobacco, candy, soft drinks and beer can be purchased during the hours authorized. Long distance calls may be made from the telephone booth in this building. "

AIRMEN'S CLUB (Y.M.C.A.)

"Reading, writing and games facilities are in the Airmen's Club, supervised by a representative of the Y.M.C.A., and located East of the Recreation Hall. (Write Home Often.) The Protestant Chaplain's office is in this building."
